Scientists & artists, towards a life culture

This book returns account of this event marking of the European cultural life, as well it is true as the occasions of dialogue between representatives of the world of the science and the world of arts are rare. It approaches, in a language accessible to all, the extreme questions which at our companies the extraordinary rise of the life sciences raises: the social responsibility for the researchers, too much often captive of the splitting up to know to them; philosophical stakes of advanced biology, per hour when the controversies bioethics make rage; the role of the mediators between scientists and general public, role which could not deal with the only media, also essential they are; and finally the invention of new institutional forms, ready to make take part citizen and citizens of Europe in the new democratic governorship of the life sciences to which work European Commission.
