Marc-Williams Debono

Neurobiologist, poet, writer, founder of the group of plasticians (GDP) and of PSA, the author focus his approach around the concept of plasticity, at the same time new key of reading of the various thresholds of reality, ontological crossroads between science and art,  and essential tool of defragmentation of knowledge. From these approaches a deontology or ethics rises which make possible to better detect the inherent principles of coherence in any evolutionary phenomenology, and to adopt an attitude at the same time pragmatic and open   in front of the "plastic code of the life".

Research Activities

Following third cycle scientific studies in neurosciences, orientation towards functional exploration in clinical neurophysiology, particularly applied to the physiopathological study of epilepsy (1978-1981: Inserm U97), then towards fundamental research and applied in neurobiology (1981-1986: U97 & Paris XI University, since 1986 : private sector). Main orientations: - electrophysiological study of the synaptic properties of the cerebellum during ontogenesis in the small mammal (group of neurobiology of the development directed by prof. F. Crepel) - pharmacological research on biological models having close relations with the human neurodegenerative diseases. More than 30 publications in international newspapers & associated congresses (list on request). Focus: Normal and pathological operation of brain, systems of perception and cognition, levels of consciousness, electrogenesis and plasticity of living systems. Member of the French Society of  Neurosciences, the International Organization of Research on brain (Ibro) and the International Centre of transdisciplinary research & studies (Ciret).

Abstract: " This work take as starting point the attractive observation of the plasticity of the brain to approach the plasticity of the life, the time, the meaning,  the relation to the other, and  finally  the plasticity of the words. Slowly, a new attitude emerges in the surrounding world  linking knowledge to the human experience: the attitude of the plasticians".

Anne Dambricourt Malassé

Anne Dambricourt is paleo-anthropologist, in charge of Research at CNRS, attached to the UMR 6569 of CNRS, joining together the Laboratory of Anthropology of the Faculty of Medicine of Aix-Marseilles II, the Laboratory of Prehistory of National Natural history museum whose seat is in the Institut de Human Paleontology of Paris.

 Research Activities

In 1978, scientific baccalaureat (Academy of Versailles), received major of her promotion in philosophy, she directs its studies in geology, with the Faculty of Science of Orsay Paris-XI, where she obtains its licence and its control in sciences of the Earth (1982). She continues its university course of 3rd cycle, at the University Paris VI associated with the National Natural History Museum of Natural History. She obtains the diploma of In-depth study after having developed a report on the evolution of the mandible of the anthropoïdes (1983). She leaves major of his promotion.

From 1984 to 1987, she makes a thesis on the mandible by seeking the ontogenetic mechanisms which return account of its morphogenesis at the current species of primates. She then discovers the embryonic origin of the crânio-facial morphogenesis, the origin of the repositioning of the neck to the bottom and of there treat of the face towards the brain, induced by a dynamics of rotation of the embryonic brain. This discovery then makes possible to include/understand the origin of the changes in forms of the base of the cranium and the mandible at the fossil species. The synthesis consolidates the classification of the primates as great families, and the scheduling of craniums, since the mammalian model prognathe at the cranium base very little bent until Homo sapiens. She supports its thesis in December 1987 and obtains the title of Doctor of the National Natural history museum of Natural History inhuman Paleontology. She receives the very honourable mention with the congratulations of the jury.

In 1989, she is prize winner of the Fyssen Foundation. She enables her to start the comparative histological study of the cephalic embryonic development of various species of primates at the Hubrecht laboratory, in Utrecht, Netherlands.  - Since 1990, she is part-time lecturer for the Diploma of Thorough Studies of the National Natural history museum of Natural History "Geology with Quaternary, Human paleontology, Prehistory ".

From 1995 to 1996, she is detached as archaeologist consulting at Ministry for Foreign Affairs (MAE) at the Management of the Social Social sciences and Archaeology.  - 1996 to 1998 it is member named by ministerial way of section 20 of the Commission of the specialists in the National Natural history museum of Natural History, who evaluates and selects the candidates at the post of Lecturer of the Natural history museum. She will be during the same time archaeological chief of mission free-Pakistani, in the Kouch Hindu and discovers with his team of the sites in high altitude attesting of the communications at the age of Bronze between the high plateaus of Pamir and the high valleys giving access to the basin of Indus. The importance of the scientific research topic rests on the discovery of the embryonic origins of the cranio-facial evolution of the first primates to the man. The changes formalized by angles are always done in the same geometrical orientation. It releases the obviousness from a deterministic physic, to find in still unknown properties of the ADN. A new theoretical formalism is under study. Ethical implications, ontological and evolutionary are immediate, they relate to the statute of the human genome, human embryogenesis and banks of frozen alive human embryos.

From 1996 to 1999, it is member named by ministerial way with section 20 of the National Council of Universities (CNU) (ethnology, prehistory, anthropology), The CNU is the national authority of evaluation of the candidates for teaching and university research. Since 2001, prepare a HDR in paleoanthropology.
